My kids have been looking forward to today since last summer. Gram agreed to stay home with Ben so Melissa and I took all the other kiddos to Venture River for the day. The weather was perfect – not too hot but not too chilly. Kaitlyn quickly remembered how much she loved waterslides and she was fearless. (She would often be going down slides her brothers wouldn’t try.) Her height got in her way a little but she was a good sport. Melissa and I finally gave up trying to keep everyone together and made sure everyone knew our central location. We had lunch and Kaitlyn and I both took a short nap before we started all over again. The most shocking part is no one fell asleep on the way home. I would happily have napped if I could have!
