Apples. Apples. Come And Get Your Apples

Today I attempted to use the few apples we have picked from our tree. After two batches of applesauce (yum!) and one batch of apple chips, I still have apples sitting on my counter. (And another million on the trees.) Kaitlyn was a doll and slept all day. The boys “helped” Wade with his projects….

Bombfire

Wade asked the boys if we should build a bonfire this weekend with all the scrap wood he is hoping will disappear. The boys agreed and couldn’t stop talking about it all day. Our favorite moment came when we realized they were saying “bomb”fire and were expecting an explosion. In the end everyone enjoyed hot…

Seriously Entertaining

Every time Kaitlyn is on her play mat the boys want to play with her. What I find hilarious is they completely ignore Kaitlyn and actually play with the toys (rattles and one musical bird). Who would have guessed the 5 and 3 year old would be so enthralled with infant toys?

Repairs

Annoyance

There are quite a few strange things about our house. Some are fine and some continue to be an annoyance. Wade has always been extremely bothered that our bathroom doesn’t have a door. There is a door (pictured below) to a tiny hallway with open doorways from there to our bedroom and bathroom (the toilet…

Ice Bucket Challenges

Unless you have been living under a rock you have probably heard about the ALS ice bucket challenge. Alex was the first member of our family to be nominated. Teague and I weren’t too far behind. Alex was excited to participate and spent thoughtful consideration choosing who he would nominate (Aunt Emmy, Granny, and Pop)….
