Changing Tires

Alex has been asking for the museum where he can change the tire (also known as the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum). Imagine Alex’s excitement when there was not only one car, but two cars, with tires to change. He tried a few other activities but would always return to the cars and tires.

Poser

Alex was quite the poser for pictures today. Normally he ignores my camera and rarely listens to requests for “look at Mom”. Today he even seemed to strike a pose and freeze for the camera.

Milwaukee Adventure

Amber is trying to make Abram’s “last week” (before starting “real” school as a kindergardener) full of fun and adventure. Today’s adventure was a trip to the lakefront for bike riding and kite flying. I think Alex was most excited about us all riding in the same car – which we haven’t done since Grant…

Teague’s Room Is Ready

I finished the last part of Teague’s room today. I had seen wall art that I liked, but was unwilling to pay the price. I decided it wouldn’t be too hard to create on my own (with Wade’s assistance). The art is done and the room is completely done and ready for Teague.

Last Days Of Summer

This is the last week before the pool closes and the kids return to school. We decided to all head to the pool today and we even treated the kids to lunch at the pool.

We returned early enough from KY to get Alex’s new “bookshelves” into his room and filled with his books. (Thanks to Pinterest for the idea of using painted crates.)

A Family Day

Unfortunately the reason for our trip to KY was a sad one. My Aunt Gayle (my Dad’s sister) passed away on August 11. A service was held in DC last weekend and one was held in Paducah today. The only upside was seeing family that we don’t see often. We spent the morning at Dad’s…

Travel Day
