A Long Ride Home

March 15th, 2010

Mom kept Alex entertained with chocolate chip cookies while Wade and I got the car packed:

This wasn’t Alex’s best car ride, but at least he took quite a few naps along the way:

We arrived in Milwaukee just in time for me to run out the door to Book Club. I don’t always enjoy the books, but I love reading new books and authors. Having several psychology majors in the group always makes for interesting discussions!

What A Game!

March 14th, 2010

This morning we made it to the hospitality suite in time for a little socializing before the game. Dad even posed for a picture with Melissa and me.

What an awesome game to watch! GaTech happened to be playing at the same time so Wade only stayed for the first half of the game.

The stands were full of excitement as the Cats and Mississippi State went into overtime. The roar was deafening when UK won! Did I mention my cousin (Christina and her husband Jeremy) happened to get seats about ten rows back from us? What are the odds?

Basketball And Steaks

March 13th, 2010

What a glorious day! Wade and I slept in till 8:30 am (I heard Alex woke up Judy at 5:45 am). Melissa didn’t arrive into Nashville until this afternoon so Chris provided us with a wonderful breakfast – Waffle House. Then we hurried to the games and watched Kentucky win again – love the atmosphere during the games. The stands are a sea of blue!

That night a large group of us went to Morton’s Steakhouse and had a great time and lots of wonderful food.

Let The Games Begin

March 12th, 2010

Actually the games started yesterday, but our first games to watch are today. We decided to check out FanFare during one of the breaks and got our picture with the Chick-fil-A cow. Sadly no Chick-fil-A food was anywhere to be found.
