He finished up his second two hour nap about the time Wade came home from work. Wade is leaving town tomorrow morning and needed to check his flight time. Alex wanted to help:

Toy Solutions and Cheerios

March 22nd, 2010

I have been searching for baskets to go under my coffee table and finally found some. Now Alex’s puzzles and Legos are nicely hidden:

One of my Christmas presents was an old blanket chest which is now in my office as a toy box for Alex. We picked up the picture of old toys on our last drive through Paducah:

Alex couldn’t wait to get home after Mother’s Day Out and have his snack of Cheerios and milk:

Some of the documentation for the adoption requires current pictures of our family. I take a lot of pictures, but I have very few with all of us. Wade sat up the tripod and we got a family picture and tried to get one of Alex walking – no luck:

Then Wade and I headed downtown to the Bradley Center to watch GaTech play Ohio State. We didn’t win, but I’m still glad we went. What are chances Tech would play in Milwaukee while we live here?

Pictures and Steps

March 20th, 2010

Emily got Alex down for an amazing morning nap while Wade and I slept in. Then we all headed out for another breakfast at Jo’s Cafe. This time I had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit – yum! The place is definitely “local color”, but the food is amazing.

After breakfast we attempted to get a picture of Alex and Emily but one or the other always seemed to be blurry. The best we got:

Then Alex went down for a nap and Emily had to catch her plane. Alex has been taking a few steps here and there. At first I thought it was just by chance, but at this point we’ll say he is trying to walk and taking a few independent steps:

Alex has been a very happy baby lately and that makes for a very happy mom!

Bubbles And Basketball

March 19th, 2010

While Wade went to work and Emily worked on her sermon, Alex and I went to swim class. Today we tried out lifejackets – which Alex did not like. However he did discover how to blow bubbles in the water! Adorable to watch.

After a long nap, Alex cuddled on the couch with Dad for a little basketball.

The Zoo And Aunt Emily

March 18th, 2010

Amber suggested a trip to the zoo so off we went. We even got a picure of both boys looking at the camera!

Then we had to hurry home for a nice long nap before Aunt Emily arrived for the weekend.
