Today was a wonderful day. Alex took a short nap after Mother’s Day Out and then we went outside to play. He loves his swing:

Apparently he also loves Madison’s water bowl:

I’m not sure it helped after he was covered in water and mud, but I did eventually strip him down. He’s going to love some of these pictures when he is older
I think we have a mouse in the house. I opened the bread drawer and found this:

What I find funny is the mouse didn’t touch the white bread.
Alex has been in constant motion all day, but I managed to capture a grin:

Alex got an Easter box in the mail today. He was quite enthralled by the dancing bunny:

And what day is complete without a little dangerous play? At least there were no matches around:

In Adoption news: I had my one-on-one meeting with the social worker today. It only lasted about 30 minutes and dealt with answers I had given on my autobiography. We have our home visit tomorrow and then we will just be waiting for all the paperwork to come in and the homestudy to be written. We did decide on another family picture:

We have a few more random items to do for our home study and then we wait for a while. One of the things we need is a picture of the back of the house with as much yard as possible. That and a gorgeous Sunday motivated us to work on the yard. Wade’s big job was chopping wood:

As a treat we took a walk to Gilles for custard. Wade waited until we were home to eat his and Alex was determined to get a bite:

These videos are from yesterday. The first is Alex taking a few steps:
Wade and Alex had some Daddy-Son time until Wade had to leave for his curling lesson with the Young Couples Group:
Maren brought Mariel over for a visit. Alex was more interested in the dog toys.

I got my haircut earlier this week, but Wade just got back in town to take pictures for me. I went to the Aveda Institute. I love the cut and the price, but the two hours it took was a little much:
Today we had a little of this:

And a lot of this:

Alex gave me a break from chasing him up the stairs with a big cup of milk:

Then he discovered Easter eggs. It didn’t take long for him to find a way to open them:
