Sally is very hard to talk to on the phone. She likes to call, but she doesn’t seem to have anything to say. I love to talk to Sally in person, but on the phone it just seems to drag. Is it me or Sally? She just sits there and seems very blah. When I try to make a joke, she doesn’t get it. I’m pretty sure it isn’t an intelligence thing. I don’t think my humor changes when I am on the phone. She just doesn’t seem to be able to connect the dots. The really bad part is that I don’t know how to get off the phone. If Sally calls me, then I’m never sure if it is just to chat or if she had a question. I don’t want to end the conversation too early and appear rude, but I don’t want to have to carry the conversation either. Hmmm – maybe this is why email is so popular?
