I thought I had done all I could with my apples. Then my friend, Krista, posted about canning apple pie filling. I decided I needed to try that too. I used the same recipe she did from Our Best Bites. For my own future reference, the recipe calls for 6 quarts which is about 50 medium-sized apples. I did most of this on Sunday and managed to get all the adults in the house involved (Wade, Granny, and Pop). We canned two batches which is 14 quarts and I had enough left over to bake a pie with dinner.
