When my friend Amy asked me to run a Jingle Bell 5k with her (in early October), I didn’t hesitate to say yes. She was just about halfway through the couch to 5K program and I thought running together sounded like fun. I got on my computer to sign up and realized the race I expected (based off the name) to be in December was actually November 3rd. That meant I had about three weeks to start running (I had taken a break from pretty much all exercise this past summer/fall). Thankfully this was one of my easiest returns to running and I could do the 3 miles from day one and last week I even managed 4.5 miles.
Today was the race and we had a great time!
