The biggest reason in my book that I want a new house (and one of the few) is to have a mudroom. We live in Wisconsin so we take our shoes off at the door (at least during winter). Alex is adamant about doing it year round (no matter how I plead to leave shoes on) and Teague picked up on this the second day. Now I have two boys with shoes and coats to get ready in our tiny little backdoor area. The most challenging is when we are coming in and my hands are full of bags and the boys immediately sit down on the stairs to have their shoes taken off. I just want to get up the stairs to put down all of my bags, but they aren’t quite old enough to understand yet.
