Although I still have some projects in mind, for now this bathroom is done. It has a fresh coat of blue paint and some new pictures on the walls.

Aren’t they cute in their Judo Gis?

They are home!!
When I take the boys to Awana on Monday nights, they get name tags. Imagine my surprise when Teague said he still had his from last night. Then he showed me where he had been keeping it.
A relaxed evening at home.
Kaitlyn getting her hair done – just like at home.
Alex always has a grand idea or plan. I hear about them and sometimes find notes about them. After the boys were off to school, I found this sitting on the coffee table.
Translation in case you can’t decipher some pretty bad spelling:
Dear Santa,
I only want to spend a day with Rudolph.
Love,
Alex
Yearly eye exam means new glasses are coming!

Kaitlyn kind of loves her Granny.
Donuts for breakfast!
Reading with Granny and Aunt Emmie.
The boys’ room took almost a year to finish. They were in our spare bedroom from day one. First we took away their walk-in closet to make an upstairs laundry room. Then Wade had to build them a new closet, remove some built-ins try to hide some AC ductwork, and update the fixtures. They are finally moved in and all the pictures are hung!
Seeing Santa for the first time this year!
I left Wade and Kaitlyn in Memphis for a few days. The first picture I get, Kaitlyn is decked out in Auburn clothes!
The boys and I arrived in Paducah just in time grab my Dad and then meet my sister and her family downtown. Downtown Paducah puts on a Dicken’s Village and it’s quite awesome. This year they even had the Grinch!
Then we ended the day with a cousin sleepover!
Today we mostly stayed at home and had fun with family. There were games, puzzles, crafts, and even a gingerbread house.
Alex has discovered the funnies.
Too bad we don’t get a newspaper at home.
This boy is in heaven. Pop is even letting him drive.
(But note where Pop’s hand is just in case.)
Reading with Aunt Emmie.
We traveled to Memphis last night to be with Wade’s family for the holiday. We spent the day enjoying each other and eating lots of yummy food.
The in-between of a large group photo.
Peek-a-boo
My sister has been in her new house awhile, but I hadn’t seen her all moved in. We went over this morning to check out all their toys (or so my kids think).
An old friend reading a new book.
Cousins bonding over the iPad.
Gram had coordinating pajamas for everybody!
We took the kids out of school a day early and made the trip to KY in time for dinner.

Teague’s school had their Thanksgiving feast today.
Everyone was super excited that we found the Santa hats – just check out those faces.
We started decorating for Christmas today and Rudolph showed up.
He picked the bowtie.
She picked the dress.
He begged for jeans.
We’ve been working really hard lately on some house projects. Kaitlyn’s room is now painted and has a new light fixture. (Her closets still need to be reworked, but that will be a bigger job for later.)
Morning.
It makes me smile to happen upon these moments.
She is reading a First Look and Find book – her favorite.
He is reading a graphic novel – Plants vs. Zombies.
TV stare.
She’s always such a help in the kitchen.
I caught Alex drawing on the eggs yesterday and just warned him to be careful. (I thought he was creating unimpressed eggs again – see here). It turns out he was also writing the sweetest note.
New favorite book – Plants vs. Zombies.
(And here I thought it was just a video game.)
Feeding the horses – a favorite after school activity.
The sign gets me every time.
We (meaning I) have had it on the list to enroll the boys in Judo for months. We finally got around to it and Alex loves it! (Teague just shows up because his brother does.)
Those Burch kids.
Evidently her pretend pots are no longer good enough.
One of the two is definitely a copycat in all things related to her brothers.
A new bowtie came for Teague in the mail today. I turned around to find him wearing it and eating cherry tomatoes like grapes. It’s a Tuesday.
Who? Me? I had nothing to do with this mess.
